Approaching The Nest by lenslady
Approaching The Nest
The Osprey's have once again return to Southern Ontario, Canada.  My favourite pair has also returned to their regular nest and I couldn't wait to get out there and welcome them home.
The Ospreys Have Returned by lenslady
The Ospreys Have Returned
The title says it all.  These amazing raptors are so beautiful, and I look forward to their return every year.  I have a favourite pair which return to the same nest every year and am hoping to document the birth of their little ones as well,.
Flourescent Grackle by lenslady
Flourescent Grackle
The Grackle is a bird common to Southern Ontario, Canada, and is classified as a blackbird.  When the light strikes the feathers just right, he turns into an irridescent beauty.  Not a songbird though, and has a very harsh voice.
Cruising by lenslady
I just love spring and can't wait to get out with my camera to check out all the animals that are having babies and coming out of hibernation.  Paid a visit to a local conservation area in Southern Ontario and found a beaver lodge.  After waiting around for a couple of hours, I was able to capture this shot.  Also saw a couple of babies, but they were extremely camera shy, so, no pics.  lol
Nap Time by lenslady
Nap Time
This is a baby raccoon, approximately 2 weeks of age.  His mother abandoned her babies who were found and subsequently turned over to a Wildlife Rehabilitator to be raised and released back into the wild.   He cannot yet see or hear.  A baby this age needs to be fed every 3 hours.  They love to be handled and to snuggle up on a nice warm body.  this little fella has been fed and fallen asleep in my friend's arms.

I'M BACK . . . . . AGAIN

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 26, 2014, 8:12 AM

Life has been crazy since August and I've found myself neglecting this site.  But, things are getting back to normal and I can catch up on all the photos I've taken.  I still have many from my African Safari to share as well as a trip to Victoria, British Columbia in Canada.  Plus, all the "stuff" I did in between those two trips.  lol  Hopefully, you won't get too tired of seeing all my pics.

I've missed all my friends here so I can't wait to hear from you.

Take care everyone!!

Oh, you're very welcome!  I haven't finished though yet.  I didn't have a chance to go through them all the other night!  lol  Some of them are very beautifully combined  . . .  and you never know, maybe they will become an actual species some millenia in the future!  lol
