Heading Home

This Opossum had been turned over to a wildlife refuge in the middle of this year's harsh winter.  He had been suffering from severe frostbite to his ears and the tip of his tail.  In this picture, you can see the healed upper portions of his ears.  Once healed, and with winter over, he was released back into the wild.  Opossums are nocturnal animals with nasty attitudes.  But, who couldn 't love this face!  lol
